Windows Ultimate 64bit fresh install wont boot

I cant figure this one out and wont stop till i do.
I create a desktop from various used and new piece all working and good.
I have a asus p5q motherboard with intel 2.66ghz 775chipset and pny 1 gb crap ram. i update the bios to latest version and i believe everythings running good on that end. now the problem is i want to run windows 7 64 bit on this computer. i freshly installed windows 7 on newly formated hard drive. everything went great. loaded to desktop and preceeded to install latest updates from microshit. all went great. rebooted and went straight to startup recovery. cant get out of it no matter what i do. cant restore cant choose safe mode boot cause it wont give me a chance to get that far. i reformated and reistalled 7 64 bit multiple times. tried not updating... no good. once i got as far as one restarted with new nvidia drives and the second restart... same old same old. i dont get it. i had 32 bit the first time ran fine. some one please enlighten

    thank you
oh and i have tried different copies of windows 7... still nothing

This is usually the sign of a hardware problem - either something's broken or incompatible.
Adding the Asus P5 series of boards into the mix adds some memory issues - and maybe an issue with ASACPI.sys (the 2005 version).

As for the memory issues, please visit both the Asus website and the PNY website to determine the optimum timings/settings/voltages for your RAM. Then set your RAM that way in the BIOS (DON'T use the Auto settings).

Next, check to see if you have the 2005 (or 2004) version of ASACPI.sys installed. If so (or if you don't have it at all), please visit the Asus website and install the latest version of the ATK0110 ACPI Utility. If that isn't listed under the Utilities or the ATK section for your mobo, then try installing either PCProbe or the Asus AISuite.

Please run these free hardware diagnostics to start with:

Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)
Don't forget to check all the cables and connections - it's the most common (IME) reason for hardware issues on a new build.
