Computer keeps randomly freezing after successful installation

    Hi guys,
I've been having problems with my windows 7 lately. I originally had a HDD with XP installed on it and then I decided to install Windows 7 on my brand new SSD. I have an AMD high-end processor ( i forget the number), 4 GB of RAM, and a geforce 9800 gt, all in a antec nine hundred case (it's very cool so I know it's not overheating Ive checked the temperatures to be around 50.

Anyways, I will open windows 7 and RANDOMLY it'll freeze up. However, the thing that makes me strongnly believe it's not a hardware issue is that I can boot into safe mode just perfectly fine. So this makes me think it's some software issue. Can anyone tell me what info/logs they need from me to help resolve my problems? I've already tried download C++ distributable package but that hasn't helped, and I have NO programs installed on my fresh copy of windows 7 so it can't be any programs I downloaded because it's been freezing since the fresh install. If someone could help me out as soon as possible I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks a lot!!! :-D

If clean boot does not have freezes, then we can solve the problem. If it does it is probably a driver.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

By 'clearn boot' I'm guessing you mean safe mode??/

and hm I don't think it's the drivers because the only drivers I manually installed were for my mouse and keyboard and I've tried reinstalling them... :-/

Clean boot is not safe mode. Give it a try and lets see what happens.

Works in safe mode, so not hardware

Does not work in clean boot

The big difference between clean boot and safe mode is that more drivers are used during CB. Try this to find the driver.

Be sure to read the warnings and back up first
    Enable the Driver Verifier
