Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

i just purchased a new laptop (hp dv7-4077cl entertainment notebook) a couple of days ago and the system repeatedly restarts unpredictably (i come back to my computer and see that it has restarted and needs the password to be entered). The Windows 7 is 64-bit and is the original OS on this device as an OEM. the OS has not been reinstalled.

i have zipped the perfmon & bsod dump output folder as an attachment.

i am hoping that there is a simple fix -- otherwise, i probably will return the laptop since i purchased it only a couple of days ago.

these are caused by hpdskflt.sys, hpdskflt.sys is a driver for the onboard mobile data protection sensor.

I would simply re-install the driver
