    Crash issues help please

Hello everyone. My computer (windows 7) recently crashed. I have 2 theories why- crashed due to viruses, and the last BSOD i had hapened right as i was restarting my comp and didn't bother to turn it back on (power issues?)

So here is the big problem.
Every single time i restart my comp, using the windows 7 boot disk, it crashes.
    I have tried many things:
-"wipe" hard drive with maxtor maxblast 5
-tried to reinstall windows 7 (i had to no matter what becauae i erased my hard drive completely)
-i have been trying to erase my hard drive a few times now, because the comp still crashes.

    Here is whats happening now:
-i install windows 7. everything is going well untill the final installation step is in progress (after the comp reboots and is about to actually start the newly installed windows) and rights as it's about to finish...
    My computer crashes.

What am i supposes to do?

Also, i have been doing alot of research and i come across " deleting the hard drive completely deletes literally everything. It deletes your OS (i don't mind reinstalling it at all) and its also deletes all viruses and completely gets rid of them"

is there any possible way for me to completely erase my hard drive?

I feel this is the ONLY way i can end this crash so i can finally reinstall win 7.

    PLEASE post your thoughts.
    Thanks.

If you do a clean install, and boot from the DVD you will have an option to format, take that option. Everything will be gone.

    See step 8

i get to the part where it says "completing installation" then the comp crashes
