Windows 7 hangs on starting windows logo screen

    Windows 7 hangs on starting windows logo screen


    I have a problem with my OS booting.It will get "starting windows" logo screen and just hang there.I have tried every type of start up repair and nothing works.It keeps giving me a windows can not repair. When i check the event log it says"a patch is preventing windows from starting"

    Any suggestions.

    Your specs say build 7100, that is a little outdated. Where did you get your current version & when did you install it ?

    I guess i should update my profile from time to time. the build is a 7600 ver6.1.Installed last OCT.

    Have you tried to do a system restore to a previous date ?

    Yes Multiple times and dates. i have tried different images to. But if i install a fresh copy of windows 7 that works fine. So the hardware is not a problem.
