Well that didn't last long. Started crashing and card reader disappeared.
Full factory reset this time.....no card reader detected.
Time to ring pb again.
To put it mildly. It sounds to me as if the driver is the problem. Maybe the vendor will have a solution. Let's hope.
PB have told me to return it for warranty repair -lot of chew on.
Could I not just open it and disconnect reader? Obviously would invalidate warranty.
Yes you can open it and disconnect the reader - but what if it doesn't fix it?
We'll continue to help you here - but we're not going to provide parts (and you have to do all the labor).
Frankly, if it was my system, I'd disconnect it. But I've got the tools (and access to a service center) to take care of this myself. Your call - good luck!
yep, that's the worry - if it doesn't work.
Thinking about it, why can't I just tske it back to shop I bought it from instead of having to package it up and send it to other end of country. AND be responsible for repairs if damaged in transit.
I'd take it back in a heartbeat. Explain your concern about the warranty and see if they'll unplug it without voiding your warranty.
