BSOD while playing Battlefield 2

    I also have the same issue, and it's now April 2012. Just found this out, and it worked fine before....so I gotta investigate it but nothing else crashes so it's something to do with the game itself.

    Do any of you guys have dual monitors btw?

    Thanks, but It's already in Google Search cache, so it may be helpful to post here in the same thread.

    I found the issue, at least for me, was an upgrade of the Video driver, not Audio.
    I tried the Audio first back to the first driver released for my card, and it still crashed. The only thing I could possibly remember was it still worked on an older version of my Video driver, so I tried that...and, backdating to NVIDIA 280.19 fixed my issue of the BSOD of portcls.sys!

    NVIDIA GTX 280
    Windows 7 X64 SP1
    XFI Titanium Fatality
