Please help fix problems with my computer

Now I have a lot of problems.

1. I keep getting viruses. I choose to remove all the viruses on my computer then I go to sleep and wake up the next day to find 15 more viruses on my computer. I go to school and return to find even more viruses on my computer. How do I stop this and get rid of all the viruses once and for all?

2. Windows explorer keeps having to restart. It used to be only when I launch windows and then it had to restart it for an unknown reason but now it happens randomly like once and hour. How do I fix this?

Follow Lemurs advice below.
If you don't have an AV then get the Avast!

avast! Free Antivirus - Download Software for Virus Protection Click under the Free version "Download"

Start above or the MSE below. Download both and run both. Check for updates after opening.

Then after the two above run this.
Download the free. Check for updates after opening.

When anything is found they may give you options of what to do. Click Quarantine if optioned or delete if no quarintine option.
Then let us know what is up.

Run all three in a row. It will take an hour or so for all three but is necessary.

Check all three for updates before starting the scans.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. Run Malwarebytes and your updated virus scanner (full scans for both). You may have to run it twice, or at least until it doesn't find anything. Reboot. If you find anything new warnings, post them here. It could also be a rootkit.

Ok, I'll do that and tell you what happened once I'm done scanning.

Computer and Network Solutions, Answer!

Hi there,

It sounds like you have a sort of "false positive" virus which will have installed a dummy program that will run when Explorer.exe is activated. The best thing you can do is do what Lemur said and when you have completed that, look through programs and see if you have something that looks a bit weird and not supposed to be there take a not of it and look where it is running from. Go to the place on your hard drive where it said the file is stored and right click on it and select properties. You will notice that its a short-cut to the actual file that is causing you the problems. Copy the full link ie. (C:/where/ever/it/is.exe) and then open run. Paste that into run and take of the .exe file at the end of it but take a mental note of what it was called. It will bring up the place on your hard drive where the lives. You will see it there now. Hit Ctrl+shift+esc and search the processes running to see if its being used at the moment, if so, just 'end process tree' it. if not, go to the file and rename it anything else other that what it was called, but make sure you take note of it. Now reboot and the program won't be able to find the file/virus to run it as you renamed it, therefore it won't be running. You can go to add/remove programs(or equivalent) now and delete the program. Then you can navigate to the file/virus you renamed and delete that (make sure you press shift+delete so it doesn't stay in your Recycle Bin). Restart and then do another scan on those programs Hopalong and Lemur gave you and your sorted! I hope this helps, Dan Alldred Computer and Network Solutions
