    UnderOath,

You can help us by filling out your System Specs:

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS

In the line at the top of www.SevenForums.com you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
    Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
    Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.

are you trying to transfer via micro SD or via USB from your android?

Have you installed the latest firmware update and the latest usb driver for your phone?

i connect the phone directly to pc via usb

have i updated my my phone's firmware? no, i don't like updating my phone's firmware since it could disconnect for any reason and i end up with a dead phone (happened to me with a symbian phone before)

how can i update the usb drivers for my phone?

btw, what does the dump file say?

! can NOT agree with your comment regarding updating your phones firmware.

You can go to the website of your phone manufacturer (I did.) and get the latest support software, including usb driver for your phone.

The reading of the .dmp file I will leave to others since I'm still working on honing my .dmp reading skills.

ok here's another issue with the phone, copying from phone to pc works flawlessly, copying the other way round causes copying to freeze and the phone gets disconnected!

i tried formatting my mmory card first (no luck), tried another memory card (still no luck), reset the phone to factory defaults (no luck STILL), tried it on xp mode, same issue, copying freezes and mobile gets disconnected

finally it worked on my sister's pc that's running XP!

i thought xp mode is the exact same thing as running win xp, but i guess it's not the case with usb devices?
