Virtual Machines
I was faffing about with Virtual box yesterday then when i turned my computer on today i got this screen.



Is this normal? i'm a bit worried.

That's a chkdsk screen. I would suggest:
1 - backup your stuff immediately. If this is a sign of a failing hard drive, you may have limited time to save your stuff!
2 - run a hard drive diagnostic to see if the drive is dying: HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)

Everything was Ok.

I ended up with a DMP file on my desktop but I can't open it. says something about it being externally edited so its not valid

That was on my desktop but I can't open it and the ones in Minidump folder, the latest one is 23/09. None from this morning.

My computer did actually crash on Thursday while the man from virgin media was using it. I guess that will be the 23rd one then.

Could be related.

Whoa that's a bit hardcore lol I don't think I have a screwdriver to open it up anyway

No need for a screwdriver. The diagnostic runs off of a CD and it will tell you if there's a problem with the hard drive.

You have:
6 memory dumps (I'll post the "Clicker" dump separately)
EDIT: The "Clicker" dump wasn't able to be opened by my debugger
with 2 different BSOD errors (0x8E and 0x7F)
and 2 different causes are blamed (ntkrpamp.exe and igdkmd32.sys)

This isn't sufficient to say that there's a pattern here, so we'll start with updating your graphics drivers.
Please:
- visit http://downloadcenter.intel.com and download the latest version of graphics drivers for your system.
- uninstall the current graphics drivers
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Also, please remove or update these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash (there is at least one that is most likely involved in the crash). Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager.
Please use the following instructions to locate the most currently available drivers to replace the one's that you uninstall OR remove:

How do I remove those 3 drivers? I have set the environment variable to show the hidden ones but I can't see them.
