    Win 7 crash after new hardware..


    Hey there..

    First up; Sorry for my spelling, but im from Denmark

    I recently brought a lot of new hardware for my pc - i was upgrading from:

    CPU: Intel E8400 -> Intel i5 760
    MB: Asus P5E -> Asus P7H55/USB3.0
    RAM: Cosair PC2-????(?) -> OZC PC3-16000
    CPU Cooling; Asus v60 -> Cosair H50

    I didnt thought about reformating/reinstalling windows, so i just threw in all the new hardware, and turned my pc on.. No problems.. Worked fine.. Im a gamer, so i started up my game (Battlefield Bad Company 2) and saw the great increase of speed for my machine. 30 mins inside the game my pc suddenly restartes .. NO BSOD or anything.. Who knows, could be an error..?
    I reintered the game and 20 - 30 min later it happend once more..

    Then i reinstalled windows 7 Ultimate x64, and all drivers etc.

    But it still keeps doing' it

    I've got all new drivers for everything - My pc is up to date with windows update. I've also checked the event viewer but its useless, just saying that my pc was just down a wrong way.. I've also checked with "Core temp" that my CPU aint overheating (max was 55degree (131F)

    I really hope someone in here have some clues

    Hi Jakob and welcome

    Did you add RAM or replace the old ram with matched new ram?
    Did you retain the same power supply unit?
    What video card are you using and is it the same before and after.

    You really could help us by filling in your system specs which are located in the lower left corner of your posts. Instructions are below my signature.

    I've completely replaced my RAM blocks - upgradede from PC2-8000 (i think) to PC3-16000 RAM
    Yes i have the same PSU, (thermaltake 550) - but as far as i know the i5 core uses less power than the Intel E8400 Wolfdale??

    And yeah, i kept the same GFX . My system specs are here.

    My Pc' is all standard, havent touched anything (but in BIOS OC it set to auto?).. Though - i have a psysical switch on my motherboard that enables turbo mode.. I have tried it turned on, but when that was on, i could'nt even take the Win 7 benchmarks (that scale that goes from 1 - 7.9 ~ Windows Experince Index) . When it was on it did the same thing , randomly restart'ed with no BSOD. Could it be a PSU problem?

    And no, im not running Raid (or at least i dont think so)
