New Comp - BSOD - Please Help
Hello everyone,
I just finished building my new computer and I keep getting a BSOD. I'm really hoping that it's something simple that I did, and that someone can figure it out for me.
The BSOD doesn't happen constantly, if anything I would say that it is irregular. I've had the computer running for a good two hours without seeing it - but it generally happens once or twice a day at least. I thought it might be an issue with my speakers and my realtek hd audio manager - but I disconnected the speakers and it still happens.
To the Problem:
Out of nowhere, the computer will blue screen - giving me a 'Stop: 0x000000f4' error. It will then crash and pull up to a screen asking me to choose a boot device. I noticed the last time, however, that before the boot device screen came up - there was a 'no hard disk detected' error.
For some basic comp info:
Windows 7 64 bit
Full retail windows 7
I just put the system together about two days ago, including OS installation.
Western Digital WD10 01fals-00y6a0 hard drive
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460
Intel i7 950
Asus Sabertooth x58 motherboard
ASUS vw266h hdmi widescreen monitor
Antec TruePower New TP-750 Blue 750W Continuous Power ATX12v
I'd really appreciate any help with determining the cause of the problem.
Thanks.
