Win7 32bit 0x124 BSoD
I have been having one helluva time diagnosing my current problem.
First, I'll begin with a description:
The 0x00000124 bugcheck error seems to happen ANYTIME it chooses. System idle, under heavy load, online, offline, watching movies, playing games, ANYTIME. The problem began shortly after I got my (then brand new) system up and running. I purchased the laptop from Newegg sometime in April/May.
Next, a somewhat comprehensive list of troubleshooting steps I have already taken to remedy my system's unfortunate situation:
-Ensured ALL drivers were up to date
-Ensured system has adequate cooling
-Stress tested with Hi-Ren's Boot CD
-Updated BIOS
-Re-installed from my recovery partition (MSI did not send a hard copy of OS)
-Re-installed/updated drivers
In the best interests of maintaining the warranty on my system, I did not go any further than re-seating my RAM or air-dusting my fans.
Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit)
- the original installed OS on the system? Windows 7 Home Premium
- an OEM or full retail version? OEM
- What is the age of system (hardware)? 5-6 months
- What is the age of OS installation? 3-4 months
(Complete system information in profile)
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help. Looking forward to a diagnosis.
