BSODs & Memory Issues?
Hi all,
First of all, I really think this forum is really awesome!
Secondly, Im new here and im from Holland so excuse me for my bad english xD
2 weeks ago I bought some new parts for my computer:
- Intel Core i7-950
- ASRock X58 Extrem3 mobo
- OCZ 2x2GB DDR1066
- GeForce GTX 460 from Gigabyte (overclocked)
- Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Installation all went well but as soon as i started to do things on my computer, like installing programs, doing games, surfing on the web etc., i got many BSODs.
Didn't write it down what the BSOD's were so dont know excactly what kind it were but some of them had to do with Memory_Management.
After 3 days and around 30 BSODs (around 5 different BSODs) i was tired of it and decided to do a complete reinstall (formatted everything etc.)
Newly installed windows 7 and immediatly i ran all the updates and I installed all of the drivers using DriverMax.
Now im running it for about a week and still had some BSODs but waaaaayyy les then before.
BSOD's i do have some info from:
- 0x1a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (actually 0x0000001a but i think youll get it this way xD)
- 0x24 (0x00000000001904FB, 0xFFFFF88008A22008, 0xFFFFF88008A21870, 0xFFFFF80002E5CCED)
- 0x3B (0x00000000C0000005, 0xFFFFF960002EFEE7, 0xFFFFF8800D1E4???, 0x0000000000000000) win32k.sys - Address FFFFF960002EFEE7 base at FFFFF960000A0000, Date ?????4c1c483f
- 0x19 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFF900C2C5B650, ??????)
Thats all the info about the BSODs I have. By the "?" I dont know what there used to be.
I read on this forum that i should use Memtest86+ so I did.
I first tested both sticks in my mobo (on slot A1 and B1):
After 8 passes i had a total of 21 errors, mostly on pass 7 in the 7th test
Attachment 99996
Then I put stick #1 in slot A1:
Got errors on pass 1 in test 7+8 so i stopped it and put stick #2 in slot A1:
Got errors on pass 0 in test 4+7 so i stopped it again.
1 Stick in slot A2, B2 or C2 equals No boot (that also stands in the mobo manual)
Well got on and on with testing the sticks seperately in different slots but everytime got a few errors after pass 1 so i stopped them to test further.
Finally i put Stick #1 in slot B1 and stick #2 in slot C1:
Got 11 errors after 4 passes in test 7 & 8
Attachment 99997
I saw on the internet that some people have around 5000 errors but i dont get more then 25 so
Do i have bad memory or what is the problem?
I noticed in my bios that the current CAS settings are 8-8-8-18 but on the manufactor page of my OCZ memory says: 7-7-7-21.

Maybe there is something wrong with that?
I also often get the on screen error that says:
The Memory Could Not Be Read
Then i have to restart my pc before i can go on.
My story is getting very long now and almost unreadable so ill start ending it now xD
I have followed the BSOD Posting Instructions so the .rar is also attached!
Note: I recently cleaned my pc with Ccleaner so I dont know if there is anything in the dump files but please let me know!
