Frequent BSOD - Windows 7 64bit

I get random BSOD sometimes twice a day, sometimes once every three days. I haven't been able to find any activity that might trigger it. Any help would be appreciated.

Dexter, welcome to the forums; sorry you are having problems.

I looked at four of your dumps. All four are error code 7F and blame NETIO.SYS, which is a Microsoft system driver and very likely not the cause.

Error code 7F, UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP - usual causes are Memory corruption, Hardware (memory in particular), Installing a faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or a failure after installing it, 3rd party firewall, Device drivers, SCSI/network/BIOS updates needed, Improperly seated cards, Incompatible storage devices, Overclocking, Virus scanner, Backup tool, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack.

When I see this error code and netio.sys is blamed, the first thing I look for in the dump is a Zone Alarm driver. Zone Alone Alarm is almost guaranteed to cause BSOD's with Win 7. I suggest you uninstall ZA using this tool:http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cpes_clean.exe. Also uninstall AVG using this tool: Info > Tool (32bit) - Tool (64 bit) Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

Reboot and run your system and let's see how it does. If you get another BSOD, upload the dump and we will go from there. I think ZA is your main trouble.

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
