| Windows 7: Random Freezes give BSOD notifications after reset |

#1 | | |
Random Freezes give BSOD notifications after reset Windows freezes without any warning signs, have to reset the system from there. Then I'm getting the message that Windows didn't shut down correctly. After normal start-up the pop up screen appears telling that an unexpected error occured (something like that), clicking on it shows the BSOD message.
At the moment 64bit version is installed. Also had a clean install of 32bit but the same problem occured.
It's a pre-installed OEM 7 home premium edition, but did several clean installs (because of the problems) with an original Family Pack 7 disc.
The system is being used as a Digital Audio Workstation in a recording studio so it would be great if someone can help me out with this.
If you need more information please let me know. | My System Specs |

Thanks for your help so far,
I did a 5 hours memtest with no errors.
Also ran the latest 64bit version of Prime95, this froze my system within about 10 minutes. Will do some more tests with this program later and report it here. | My System Specs

Did some extensive prime95 testing yesterday without any problem.
Got a BSOD a minute ago (.zip included) just browsing the web, clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
I really don't have the knowledge to solve this myself. Does anyone have any new insight with the added .zip file? | My System Specs

Ok, I'm back, on a clean install. I also did set the bios back to default settings (I don't think it was overclocked by the way).

Just wait and see what happens. You have reinstalled Windows. If the BSOD's start occurring, you will know it is hardware and then start testing. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit CPU Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz Motherboard ASUS P4P800-VM Motherboard Chipset: Intel 865G + ICH5 Memory 2.50 GB RAM Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS Sound Card SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio (Chip) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VX 1962 wm Screen Resolution 1680 X 1050 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 v10 USB Mouse Logitec optic USB Cooling Fan based Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 80 GB

Yup, those latest 3 all as one say:

In theory, your CPU or a memory stick may not be sitting right - you know like a bent pin, but I doubt this is the case. I would try bios upgrade, a chance it'll help. If you go upgrading bios make sure you get the right version for your motherboard. Also, check all CPU settings in bios, even check the memory timings. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASUS OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Core2Quad Q9400 Motherboard ASUS P5Q EM Do Memory Corsair 8 Gb Graphics Card EAH ATI 5870 1 Gb Sound Card Realtek HD 7.1 Monitor(s) Displays ASUS 27" Screen Resolution 1280 x 720 Keyboard Sweex Multimedia Mouse A4 Tech 2 wheels 5 buttons PSU 650 W Cooling Zalman Hard Drives Maxtor 320 x 2 RAID 0 Other Info http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvJXlBH6yJI Random Freezes give BSOD notifications after reset problems?
