This is a hardware/hardware related problem. The dump does not tell us very much except that you had memory corruption.

To begin troubleshooting I recommend that you uninstall McAfee using this uninstall tool: Info > Tool. McAfee has been known to cause BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on. The idea in troubleshooting is to eliminate all possible causes of BSOD's.

I find two slightly out of date drivers on your system. Update these drivers if updated versions are available.

AsUpIO.sys Sun Jul 05 22:21:38 2009 - Asus driver (Asus utility?).
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-.

AtiPcie.sys Tue May 05 11:00:22 2009 -
ATI PCIE Driver for ATI PCIE chipsetGlobal Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD.

Read the following tutorial and enable Driver Verifier. Upload any dumps triggered by Driver Verifier.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Use your computer as normal while Driver Verifier is running. Depending on what Driver Verified shows, we will go from there.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for comming back to me, I have uninstalled McAfee and it seems that windows is up to date with fire wall on.

I wasnt really too sure on what drivers I was looking for on the links you gave me, but I gave it my best shot. Would the ATI dsriver be for the intergrated GPU as I have the lasest catalist?

I also followed the steps for dirver verifier but there dosnt seem to be any easy indercation to show that it is running?

Many thanks,

Very good on uninstalling McAfee; you and your computer will be much happier. McAfee may have been a factor in your BSOD's; it would not be the first time.

You are correct about the drivers. If Catalyst has been updated, your drivers are updated. Some folks have had to uninstall Catalyst to get their computers running smoothly.

There is no indication that Driver Verifier is running except that your computer might be a slower. After about 36 hours of computer use, if you have not gotten a BSOD, turn Driver Verifier off. The tutorial tells you how to do that.

Hi ya,

Just wanted to say thanks (for now) I have had no BSOD errors now Mcaffe is gone. I think the only problem is my brian cant accept this could have been the problem I dont really understand why a program like this would cause BSOD's

In my years and years of playing about with PC's I have never come up with something like that and now im scared any new thing I install is going to be the return of the BSOD's.

I just cant imagine what less tech savy people must think when they start getting all these errors and cant think why. I would have never of thought about Mcaffe.

Anywaysssss thanks very much.

I hope I wont be in touch for a while
