Here's what happened.
A few months ago I posted here regarding BSOD.
I found it it was the motherboard ICH10 chipset malfunctioned, it detected 1 USB plugged in when there was nothing. It was a dead port. Device manager showed 'Unknown device'.
Asus took 2 months to replace the motherboard for me, it looks like a repaired unit.
I got it home, and using it for a while i got bsod.
So I did a fresh Windows 7 install.
And still got BSOD.
But after each BSOD, i can't even get past post.
It just gets stuck with fans, HDD, CDrom all working/spinning/having power.
Sometimes this happens when I unplugged my computer when leaving the house, returning several hours later. I thought this was due to a bad battery, which I have since changed.
I have also flashed the bios to remove any potential corruption on the old one.
Problem still persisted, so I suspected the PSU, I changed it today and I just got a BSOD.
I also reinstalled the LAN driver
to a more recent version, it was giving me some problems unable to detect network etc.
CPU core temp at no load is around 46 degrees C, full load is 71 degrees C.
I have run Memtest86+ numerous times, each with at least 6 passes or more, and found no errors.
I have also followed the posting request and zipped up the necessary files required.
If there is any more information I'd glady post. Is Windows 7 . . . - 64bit
- full retail version? - What is the age of system (hardware)?
CPU - 2 years
Motherboard - Just got RMA and replacement from ASUS, the previous one got RMAed and didn't fix the problem (Chipset burnt) Graphics card - 2 years
HDDs - 2 years
PSU - Just changed today (I thought PSU was the problem, so changed the old one, apparently not)
Everything else is 2 years old, RAM, etc.
- Fresh win 7 install, and continuous BSOD
