BSOD Problems System: - Windows 7 Ult x64
- Intel Core i7 970
- 6 GB Ram
- ATI Radeon HD 5600 x2
So these problems kind of all started back when i had received my new rig like Sept. 13th - 14th last month, and everything worked fine i believe, it was until i was getting annoyed that Windows Live Messenger would not work. (MSN) Well, it would install fine and yada yada, but when it came to actually logging in with it. It would log in, then a few seconds later after the pop ups, it would error, and say it would need to close without anything defining what was wrong with it. I believe it's conflicting with my killer xeno pro. Which i don't want to get rid of, and want everything on the computer to work fine together. xD. There might be other problems, such as drivers and what not. But yeah. This was the biggest deal to me which i also went and reinstalled the OS for and upgraded to Win 7 Ult x64 via Windows Upgrade in control panel. Pre-installed version was Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
[ Finally joined up after looking for various fixes and what not from just looking around at already made topics, etc. ] :3. Also, Thank you very much for the help.
( Might come up with more things that I'm having trouble with, etc. Such as you might notice that there is a driver not installed right or correctly, an Serial ATA Controller. ( Can't find the driver for it online/ Dunno the make for it, etc. Just don't know, so i haven't bothered with it yet. ) | My System Specs |

In addition to cybercore's spot on adivce, I find an almost guaranteed BSOD maker on your system and loading at startup: Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dump, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Select uninstall; do not select reinstall. Here is a virtualization program that does not use the sptd driver: Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview
If you are overclocking, please stop and return to default values.
I find some out of date drivers on your system. Out of date drivers can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. I looked at three of your dumps and all three involved memory corruption. Update these drivers. First try to update them through your computer manufacture's website. Well, I've updated all that i could actually find. Which overall, all i think i could update was the Realtek Audio. I've run the Malware scanner, Nothing showed. Deleted DAEMON tools. Uninstalled Sptd.sys. I Did download something for the Intel(R) SMBus Controller for Windows 7 x64. But I don't know if that really did anything, if that was suppose to fix the Serial ATA Controller driver not showing up. As for MSN working. It's probably going lenient on me right now, and might error out soon enough. Edit:
YUP. MSN error'd after a reboot. Good job on the updating and deleting Daemon tools. If you think Xeno Pro and Windows Live Messenger aren't playing well together, you might start a thread about this issue in the hardware section. Oh? Hmm.. I've had a BSOD or two from before where if i had MSN recently opened / Process running while shutting down, it'd would BSOD. That driver for the Serial ATA Controller i have no idea what program to get, and etc. But yeah, thanks for the help. Though i somewhat feel there might be something wrong with a file somewhere causing these BSOD's. But regardless, thanks for the help. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Alienware Aurora ALX OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel i7 970 3.20GHz Memory 3 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws Graphics Card 2x ATI Radeon HD 5670 Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH238H Hard Drives OCZ Vertex3 - Main SSD

Killer xeno Pro & Windows Live I was "somewhat" redirected here by CarlTR6.
But regardless, He said that i might be able to find help here about my problem with Windows Live not working, and sometimes causing BSOD's. ( Personally, i think it does. ) So yeah. I kinda feel MSN and My Killer Xeno Pro don't wanna work together, but I'd really love it if i could have them work together, because i've already re-installed my computer once trying to fix it. After trying to do numerous things before, and somewhat messing up the computer to hell. So re-installed and everything because of that. But problem still exists. Also, MSN works fine opening up and just sitting there, but when you actually log into it, a few seconds later ( and i mean seconds, just enough for maybe offline messages or etc to show up ) MSN will say that it had an error and will need to close, without listing any error number or anything.
Thanks. (If i need to give more info, just ask, and i'll see what i can do. Recently made an account.) | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Alienware Aurora ALX OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel i7 970 3.20GHz Memory 3 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws Graphics Card 2x ATI Radeon HD 5670 Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH238H Hard Drives OCZ Vertex3 - Main SSD

I suspect it is a chipset driver.

Cybercore is right with his suggestion to enable Driver Verifier. The Intel one? Yeah, i did that, it didn't come up with any updates for my computer. :/ Kinda weird, but that's how it was. I did download some controller driver thing for win 7 x64 SMBus controller. (Searched that in google) But it didn't really fix the ATA Serial.. And about the verifier, Sorta worried that if it does start BSOD'ing because of the verifier, that i wont be able to log back into the computer to turn it off. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Alienware Aurora ALX OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Intel i7 970 3.20GHz Memory 3 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws Graphics Card 2x ATI Radeon HD 5670 Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH238H Hard Drives OCZ Vertex3 - Main SSD
