    Explorer Crash

When i log into my only user on my laptop running windows 7 after about 5 seconds the whole thing crashes, the only thing that continues to work is the mouse, but nothing opens on clicking or anything..

iv done a virus scan and it showed something in the boot files, i cleaned that up performed a restart and still the same problem occured..

i thought id start it in safe mode to see if the same happens, but its fine, safe mode works fine so im guessing its one of the drivers as om not to good with the internal workings of a computer..

any questions or tips would be good, thanks

Hi Crancred, welcome to the forums :)

I would advise downloading the latest drivers from Here while in 'Safe Mode with networking' and see if you can install them.
       Tip
You will need to run each installer in Compatibility Mode for Vista (any SP)

    Hope this helps :)

It should work. I've installed many drivers using 'Vista Compatibility' :)

The best that can happen is that, once installed, Windows Update will then find even more up-to-date drivers for you.
