Computer Unable To Go Into Sleep Mode

As requested I have started a new thread for this issue. It started about 1-2 months ago where 1x/wk the computer would lock up while trying to be put to sleep. Screen would be black and when I tried to start it the next day I would get an error that windows shut down improperly and when back into windows I'd get the
"windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" and ask if I want to check for solutions. In the past 1-2 weeks it now happens every single time I try to put the computer to sleep.

    -Win7 64
-Vista 64 was upgraded to this new version
-It is a retail version of Home Premium
-The hardware is about 1.5-2 years old (depending on component.
-This OS install is about 10+ months old with the latest updates applied.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give!

I started by running the dumps. Apparently your machine is bluescreening some of the time, though you may not be seeing it.

It appears your Yukon NIC drivers are the trouble here. Install these ones: Marvell: Download Drivers

They are about a year newer than your current 2009 drivers:
    Code:
    yk62x64.sys Mon Sep 28 04:19:31 2009
    Code:
    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_yk62x64_IMAGE_pci.sys

Thanks for the reply Lancaster! (is that the place or the plane? ) I've never seen the BSOD but don't doubt you for a moment. I'll be downloading the latest driver you suggest and give that a shot and report back. Thanks again for your prompt reply!

Okay, finally had a free moment from work to try this out. I downloaded the file that you linked to and tried to install it. It would just hang about 3/4 of the way through. Tried it 3x with rebooting, shutting down my antivirus and spam programs (even though they made no complaints) and the result was always the same. I even downloaded it again after the 2nd failure. I then just used the windows update function for that driver in Device Manager and it found and installed it just fine! I then tried to put it to sleep and no more issue, at least for now. :) Thank you very much for your help Lancaster, you guys here are excellent and a very valuable resource to the rest of us less knowledgeable folks! I hope it will be a long time before I have to ask you gents for help again.
