Keep getting a BSOD mostly caused my the ntoskrnl.exe driver. Happens randomly like when im surfing the web, or playing a computer game. I sent my computer to geek squad so they could look at it and they said it had no hardware problems. I last did a complete system restore around July 2010. Computer is only about 1 year old and has had BSOD for as long as i have had it.

Ok you have drivers from as far back as 2005, your storage driver especially. All the below need to be updated.
Your avast needs to be updated as well.
How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
