    windows explorer issue

Hi, for some reason whenever I try to create a new library in windows explorer it stops working. In fact this happens the moment I right click with in the window. Then message appears "windows explorer has stopped working" followed by the restart message. Everything else seems to work fine. I can create folders etc just not direct from the explorer library window. I use win 7 professional

any help would be really appreciated

kill the Windows Explorer (explorer.exe process) from the task manager. The way to terminate Windows Explorer’s processes is to go to Task Manager, look for Explorer.exe under Processes tab, then right click on it and select End Process.

Now try to create a new explorer.exe from the task manager.

Click on File and then click on new task. Type Explorer.exe and click Ok.

Now you’ll have a new explorer window. Now try right clicking on the folders under the Folders on the left hand pane.

If this step didn’t work, I would suggest you to run a System File scan on the computer.

run MSCONFIG and check one program at a time to start on bootup. Reboot, start over, checking one program at a time.
