    CoD series crash

So I got W7 for a while now and it's great and all that, but if i try to play any CoD(1,UO,2,4/ 5+6 work) it runs smoothly but after about 5-10 minutes it just freezes completely and I'm forced to reboot. I tried with differed compatibility settings, as admin, with differed settings and with a microphone plugged in and nothing changes.

But also, recently i tried to play CoD2 for a while and it would crash as normal but sometimes I could play for a few hours then I quit, then start playing again and then it freezes up again.

Can anyone please help? Else I'm going back to XP.

    I'm running W7 Ultimate 64x

    Hi afuz.

    First ...

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS

In the line at the top of www.SevenForums.com you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
    Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
    Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.

Do you have the newest video driver for your card?

    Are there patches for cod?

I've tried them all on their latest patches, I think my drivers are up-to-date, is there a easy way to check?

Also, I installed CoD1 yesterday to try it once more but it didn't work, no I try to play single player, since single player does always work and it says Buffer overrun detected, from visual C++ Runtime Library. Haven't had that before, does that have anything to do with it?
