freezing at start up
Windows 7 freezes at start up. When i can get into system repair it asks for my hard disk drivers. Won't boot from DVD or USB. From my research I think it might be motherboard, Asus P5P800.......but not sure?

I ran windows 7 for about 2 months then it froze and now won't boot, it did boot once but shut down after 30 min. I took the HD and hooked it to my laptop and all the files are there
and I also hooked a new HD to my PC.....same problem won't boot.
When I try to boot from USB I get the following
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

Is there any OS installed on the USB drive? If not, that explains the error.
Try creating a repair disc, or USB drive. If you have a Windows 7 DVD, you can use that instead.
System Repair Disc - Create
Boot from that, and try running a startup repair.
Startup Repair
I'fe tried that ...still can't find hard drives
