Power Change attempts crash my computer!

We rally need the dmp file but from this description I would say it is your Pinnacle Studio driver. UN-install PS to test

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the appropriate section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Interestingly enough, I never had any problems prior to today with this specific problem and the crashes that are occurring have not created a dump file for some reason. Maybe it is because the computer did not go to a BSOD.

If you get a crazy message from Win 7 about your paging file being too small, then just ignore the message since we have already made sure that the paging file is set to be managed by Win 7.

I will try this. The only problem that I ran into was that the Win + Pause/Break option did not work. I had to use the search bar to find my way.

Well, that did not work. I got the system to crash again by attempting to change the power management to balanced again.

Well did that and it still did not create a dump file.

Did you change the Paging file settings per the instructions?

Did you enable the service per the instructions?

Did you
1. Hold down the WIN key
2. tap the Pause/Break key while holding down the WIN key
3. Release the Win key.

If this doesn't work,then i recommend a system file check.
