    random bsod

    hi guys,

Random BSOD especially during system resume. I have another unit of HP (same model as below) who crashed so much and HP think it is a software issue. Crash reports are attached.

    Is Windows 7 . . .
    - x86 (32-bit)
    - the original installed OS on the system? Yes
    - an OEM
    - OEM = XP was the original software but HP provided the option to install Win 7 Pro 32bit
    - What is the age of system (hardware)? 4 months
    - What is the age of OS installation (4 months

Computer model: HP Probook 4420s (Energy Star)

Strangely, the last recorded BSOD was in November.

    I'm seeing some strange errors:
    Code:
    Event[74]:

      Source: AvDiagnostics
      Date: 2011-01-10T18:30:20.000
      Event ID: 0
      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: Info
      Keyword: Classic
      User: N/A
      User Name: N/A
      Computer: MNL-AROMANA-1.datacom.com.au
      Description:
    [Sink UploadLogger (Logger)]

The only thing I can suspect is Trend Micro. Try removing it, and replace it with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Your Realtek network drivers are old, dated from January 2010. Install these ones: Realtek

Also, update your Atheros wireless drivers: HP ProBook 4420s Notebook PC - Atheros Wireless LAN Driver - HP Business Support Center

Run driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
