    Windows 7 freeze after restart

    Hi!
    I have a strange(not common) problem..
I installed a few days ago the new nvidia driver 260.89.I did a clean isntall. When it prompted to restart it didn't restart my pc.I had to use the reset button. After that I could'nt restart my windows it simply said shutting down, and after that black screen(no video signal), and nothing happened.I tried to reinstall an older driver but the same problem, the driver installed correctly but the restart didn't work.In safe mode same problem.I managed to resolve by disabling the VGA card from the device manager and enabling after restart. But today the problem came back, and now it isn't working with the disable of the VGA card.
Can someone help me pls, because I cannot restart my PC from windows, only with the reset button. The shut down is working perfectly, only the restart doesn't.
    Thank you!

Here is my opinion. The problem started with the Nvidia driver, so that is the cause. It is my opinion if we could only replace it the problem would be solved, but we have to boot to get to that point.

    Your thoughts?

I don't understand, boot from what?
My windows is working, I have problem only with the restart.
By replacing the driver you mean format the Windows 7 partition and reinstall it?
    Thank you!

No what I mean is actually much easier, the Nvidia driver seems to be part of the problem. You installed it and now there are problems. I would like to replace that driver, with the original one that you had when the computer was working properly. Can you do a system restore from about 2 days before you made the changes?
