My Laptop freezes while loading a website.

    Asus Notebook G72
    Windows 64-bit
    6 gigs ram
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 2660M
    Intel Core Duo
    EAX Advanced HD 4.0

I hope someone can help me. Whenever I try to load this website about the music from Tron: Legacy (TRON LEGACY SOUNDTRACK | MUSIC BY DAFT PUNK), my computer freezes. I can't move anything. I have to do a hard shut down. Also, right when it shuts down, I can hear a loud pop coming from...either inside the computer or from the speakers (it sounds like it's coming from the speakers). I've also had this very same problem when would try to start Audacity. I would double click on the icon and my computer would just freeze. I eventually had to give up the program because no solutions were helping. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, if I need to elaborate, please tell me what other info I need to give out. Thank you.

If it is only one website, the problem is probably at their end. The page does not load completely and hence the freeze. It happens to me, maybe once every few months at various sites. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your answer, but what about the problem with Audacity? I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it would still freeze after I double clicked on the icon. It does open up in safe mode, but not in regular mode. I'm also curious about that pop sound I hear when it shuts off.

Try with clean boot. Almost like safe mode (except more drivers). We may be able to find the cause

"If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We strongly recommend that you do not use the System Configuration utility to modify the advanced boot options on the computer unless a Microsoft support engineer directs you to do this. Doing this may make the computer unusable."

I am connected to a network. Should I worry about this?

I have to be honest, many have used the clean boot without problem. In fact, it has helped many. I will have to look into this. Do not do anything until someone gets back to you.

The clean boot should not cause any permanent problems, but it would be best not to try and attempt it at this juncture. We do not want to create a situation that may be difficult to remedy from a distance.

Okay. I'll see if I can find anyone else who may be having the same problems I'm having.
