    Constant Mem Management and Page Faults


    Hello,

    I have a fairly new laptop operating on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate with the following specs:

    Nvidia GTX 480n
    Intel 160 GB SSD
    Intel i7 Quad Core 960 Processor 3.2 gHz
    etc...

    After abstaining from windows updates for some time, I received some page fault and memory management crashes and decided to install updates. My computer manufacturer advised me that it may be an unnecessary IR driver (I do not have an IR component in my laptop). I also removed AVG and installed MSE.

    The crashes continue, mostly memory management and sometimes Page faults in non paged areas. They are most consistent when I am using google chrome or not doing anything at all. I used mem diagnostic tools such as memtest, which did not report any issues. The memory was also examined by my manufacturer personally.

    The target file is primarily ntoskrnl.exe.

    I can post the minidumps but first I need advice on how to compress them because neither win rar nor windows zip have permissions to compress them for some reason (I am the admin) and both refuse to do so.

    Finally got my minidumps...

    The most common I believe are those found on October 25th and 27th.

Hey I have just looked at my processes as my mouse was flickering and noticed that the dwm.exe has 71 million + page faults. Should i be concerned by this? Is this a normal figure and if not what steps can i make to lower the fault count? See image for what i am referring to!
