Please Need Help With BlueScreen Problem

    Hello

My Desktop is giving me problems. This bluescreen problem is coming up randomly. sometimes i can use the computer for 4-5hrs with no problem and sometimes blue screen shows up after about 5min from the start of my computer. and i noticed that if i just leave my computer running, like dont do anything on it, just leave it on, blue screen comes on more often. like yesterday i was doing something on my laptop and my desktop was on and it was keep restarting like after 20-25minutes and so i just turn it off after about 3-4hrs.

    I am running Windows 7 ultimate X86.
i have the same OS on my laptop and its running on it from about 11 months now without any problem.
so i guess its not because of the operating system.
my desktop is haveing this bluescreen problem from long time now.
about 5 months ago, i tested RAM on my different desktop. I had 6gb ram installed 2 sticks of 2gb each and 2 sticks of 1gb each (all ocz with heat sink plates on them ) and found out 1 2gb RAM stick was bad and on my motherboard 1 memory slot was bad. maybe motherboard damaged the memory or memory damaged the slot. i dont know so i replaced both. and also harddrive was running slow too. it was taking a bit longer to install win 7 on this desktop. so i bought new hard drive and windows got installed alot faster(under 1/2hr). but blue screen kept coming. and i reinstalled windows 7 on this desktop about 2 months ago and it took longer time like about close to 1 and 1/2hr.
i changed my motherboard, hard drive and upgraded CPU cooling fan to better one. i dont know where is the problem.

    i have Asus motherboard

    ASUS P5N-D
    XFX NVIDIA GFORCE 8600 GT
INTEL PENTIUM D 3.0GHZ DUAL CORE
SEGATE BARACUDA SATA HARD DRIVE 750GB
    4GB RAM
-OCZ SLI READY HEAT SINK PC6400 2GB IN SLOT 1
-OCZ SILVER PLATE HEAT SINK PC6400, 2 STICKS OF 1GB EACH, IN SLOT 2 AND 4. SLOT 3 IS EMPTY.

If you need any other information regarding my desktop. Please let me know.

    Thank you

These were caused by several things. First and foremost asacpi.sys. Your version is from 2004. You need to update that to at least the 2009 or later.

    ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
    Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).
Second you need to remove any HD virtualization software (daemon tools/alcohol)

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
    [/quote]
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

    Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

Finally I would run a system file check to repair/verify the OS files

i never installed daemon tools or alcohol. i have these programs installed on my desktop( please check the attached picture). i couldn't take the screenshot of all programs so
in the picture after vlc media player. the program installed are:
    windows live essentials 2011
    windows media player firefox plugin
    winrar archive
    xvid 1.2.1 final uninstall
    yahoo messenger
    yahoo software update

let me know if any of these programs use sptd.sys, i searched for sptd.sys in my computer and couldn't find it. should i use this duplexsecure tool anyways?
i updated the asus file to 2009 version.

    thank you for your help

I think MagicIso & Magic disk use some kind of disk virtualization so you could try uninstall them or setting the options in each program to disable virtual drives and see if that helps.
