Logged on with a temporary profile

So my standard user account was recently switched over to an administrator account. Now I am logged in with a temporary account. The Temp account only shows up under users when I am logged in. I tried creating another admin account to see if I could delete this one. I'm kinda freaked out. Also, I have no back up as you would need the administative rights to make one. Up until now I haven't had them. Please help!

Also, administrator accounts were switched to standard user

That worked, great but will I ever see my files from my original(now admin) account?

I found this procedure, but is it the correct one in my situation?

    Thanks again

Ok Listen Carefully (or in this case read carefully)
The more you use the computer the less the chance of recovery.
    Try this first

It's not looking too good. Some .jpeg files which aren't opening and some cookies came in the quick search but none of my music. Trying a deep scan I guess..

I changed some stuff around in registry editor so the account will stay put, but no signs of my old files

Fingers crossed that "recuva" comes through

Try your best with Recuva. Some have had success with this when recuva fails

I should be happy but I am not, because you said some. Hope you did not lose anything too important.

So much to look through. It's there, but it will take a lot of sorting and renaming. All mp3s came through ok and still has their info so winamp can sort them, it's just that the file names are givin codes. Also, thousands of sisters facebook jpeg temps came in with probably 100 or so of my saved ones and album image covers. Videos would be a huge pain, as I have whole seasons of TV shows that are scattered everywhere givin code names sector283748930 etc etc.

Bottom line, you will get your files back and that is the important thing.
Be sure to back up everything at least once a month, so this problem does not happen again. It could have been worse your HD could have died and everything would be lost.
