    Hello again !

    You might wanna check your

    Logitech RightSound Filter Driver (lvrs64)
Sound tap driver Upper Class Filter Driver (stdriver64)

Drivers seems one of the causes of crash. I would recommend to uninstall SoundTap software and make sure stdriver64 is gone from Drivers folder. It's a good idea to reinstall the Sound Drivers as well since two crashes are pointing to Sound related files.

As Carl recommend updated those drivers and get ride of McAfee.

Received an email back from McAfee on how they suggest to resolve the problem.
    Here is the link...
Blue screen error when the computer is restarted immediately after installing McAfee Security software

I haven't tried the fix as yet, wanted to post it here first. Thought maybe someone else with the same issues can also try it and we can compare notes and see if it does fix the problem?

Thank you very much for reporting McAfee's solution. I notice that the solution involves two things: (1) uninstalling McAfee and/or (2) uninstalling/disabling the WLAN Atheros Driver or going to a different card. To me, the latter is not a solution. McAfee is suggesting that you change your system to suit McAfee. That, to me, is not an acceptible solution. McAfee should redesign it's software to run with with Atheros. McAfee has caused many, many problems with Win 7 systems; ditch it. It simply does not work well with Win 7.

IMO you might want to speak with McAfee and see what is their solution if there is a fix of some sort please post it here i would help others. Because i would like to know if there is something they are doing to fix these we see lot of BSOD's now a days with McAfee etc. They can't just eat our money and do nothing.

    Just my opinion !
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I am not at all impressed. When I finally got the time to sit and actuall read and take in what McAfee sent as their "so called" fix, I realised that it does not address the issue at all, and I have to agree with you all.
I am going to go in to the store and see the person who organised the sale of this computer along with the McAfee software. He will be facing a determined female. I will be demanding some sort of compensation as the software is only 7 months into the 3 years. I am also writing again to McAfee and saying the same thing to them that I say to the salesman. I noticed that they do have a refund policy so I will be checking that out. Mind you, I don't have my hopes up at all at getting much if any, satisfaction, but I sure am going to give it my best shot.

In the meantime, I am thinking it best to uninstall McAfee until I see how all of this pans out, do you think I should uninstall, or wait a while?

Thanks guys, you are just the best!!

I think you should uninstall ASAP given the track record of McAfee with Win 7.

I do realise that this is probably a question I could research myself, but I value your advice.
I've used Avast and AVG free anti virus in the past. Avast seeming to be the more reliable. In the past I have found that both of these have let virus' through and I've had to have the PC sent away for repair. McAfee has been awesome, apart from this issue of causing 'the BSOD' I really have no other complaints.
My question is; Which free antivirus software is going to be happy working with my OS & computer... and is going to protect me? I'm not adverse to paying either.
    Thanks again

I suggest that you install Microsoft Security Essentials. It will not crash Windows. And turn on and use Windows Firewall. Once you know your system is stable you can try Avast. On most Win 7 systems, Avast works very well. MSE lacks an email scanner and Avast has one. I am currently running Avast with no problems. McAfee really is not a well coded (written) program. It is causing problems across the board on Microsoft operating systems - XP, Vista, and Win 7.
