    bsod very often, crashes after a few minutes

    Hey guys this is my first post here but im in desperate need of some help. I have a HP Dv6000 (6253cl) notebook that I bought a few years ago. Im running Windows 7 extreme edition r1 (internet/customized ver.) and the notebook is stock except for a seagate 500gb hdd.

    Now on to the problem. Recently the computer would lock up quite frequently, particularly when using firefox. It would eventually recover, but it happened every time I used the computer. Now, instead of recovering from these lockups, it bsods every time. When it does, the screen is very blurry, kind of like viewing something with double vision. I have run no tests at all, and this situation goes a bit beyond my technical ability (as far as diagnosis goes.)

    the error code is 1000007e and locale id is 1033. I tried posting up the zip of the details but the program suggested here does not seem to work, it says "we will begin in 5 seconds" but never begins.

    Now it appears to be showing a different error:
    Faulting Application Path: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe

    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: svchost.exe
    Application Version: 6.1.7600.16385
    Application Timestamp: 4a5bc100
    Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll
    Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.20548
    Fault Module Timestamp: 4ad6bca9
    Exception Code: c0000005
    Exception Offset: 0006af27
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.4
    Locale ID: 1033
    Additional Information 1: a7aa
    Additional Information 2: a7aa91f17ea749d42a4de3b390fa5b3d
    Additional Information 3: a7aa
    Additional Information 4: a7aa91f17ea749d42a4de3b390fa5b3d

    Any help is appreciated. Let me know what information I can post to make this easier too.

    Thanks

    I appologize, however nothing happens when I run Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2. It says wait 5 seconds and does nothing. Also when I type perfmon / report, it says parameter incorrect.

    How about this method?

    If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Start your own thread in the appropriate section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    * Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

    It was caused by storport.sys, probabaly caused by a corrupt version of Win7, you are probably running a non genuine version of Windows (Windows 7 Extreme Edition R1) which is a modified version of Win7

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    BugCheck 1000007E, {c0000005, 83b06be8, 96a4bc10, 96a4b7f0}

    Probably caused by : storport.sys ( storport!RaidHierarchicalResetWorkRoutine+d )
