Random Windows 7 BSOD.

Hey I've been getting random BSODs recently and I have no clue why. The programs I've had open on the most recent times were just my browser but previously I would get BSODs while playing games. My last BSODs haven't occurred for several weeks until recently after I finished a gaming session. Here is the zip containing my two most recent minidump files.

Windows Live SkyDrive

This is what was on the pop up after my computer restarted.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

BCP2: 0000000000400000
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7600

Hopefully I can get a speedy resolution to my BSOD problem.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Aattach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Hi Deathmachine. Please don't bump. We are all volunteers and we get to threads as quickly as we can.

Please read this thread, follow the instructions and post back. The complete information will help us help you better. We will get more information than just the dumps provide.

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

To begin, I recommend that you uninstall your CD virtualization program. Try removing any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Select uninstall; do not select reinstall.

Here is a free alternative CD virtualization program that does not use the sptd.sys driver.
Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

I also recommend that you uninstall Kaspersky using this removal tool: Tool. Kaspersky is known to cause BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and make sure Windows Firewalls is turned on. After you get your system stable, you can try Kaspsersky again; but I do not recommend doing so.

I urge you to uninstall TuneUpUtilities. Win 7 is totally different OS from XP. There is no tuneup utility out there anywhere that can speed up Win 7 or improve it performance, at least not at this time. At best a tuneup utility will simply use resources. At worst it can bog your system down, cause crashes and even mess your system up to the point where a clean install is required.

Both of your dumps indicate memory corruption: Error code 19, BAD_POOL_HEADER. Usually caused by a device driver.

I find two out of date drivers loaded on yours system. One is quite obsolete. Outdated drivers can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. Update the following drivers.
Quote:
Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 26 04:04:13 2009 - Latest PCIe GBE (GigaBit Ethernet) drivers here: Realtek

scmndisp.sys Wed Jan 17 02:48:03 2007 - Netgear Neutral Wireless Solution Support Home Page.
Uninstall Kaspersky and update those two drivers. Reboot and let's see how your system does. Post back and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there. Don't forget to follow the instructions in the tutorial and upload all of the files to us. We can take a deeper look.

BAD_POOL_HEADER (19)
The pool is already corrupt at the time of the current request.
This may or may not be due to the caller.
The internal pool links must be walked to figure out a possible cause of
the problem, and then special pool applied to the suspect tags or the driver
verifier to a suspect driver.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000003, the pool freelist is corrupt.
Arg2: fffffa8003d19d20, the pool entry being checked.
Arg3: fffffa8006325d70, the read back flink freelist value (should be the same as 2).
Arg4: fffffa8003d19d20, the read back blink freelist value (should be the same as 2).
