    BSOD Help - Minidump attached

    Hi all,

i have been encountering BSOD several times (2-3 times) a day; it's indicated that there is hardware failure for my laptop during the BSOD. However, i did not replace/change any hardware recently.

Thus, i do sincerely hope if anyone can help me identify the problem. Thanks.

    - x86 (32-bit)
    - Original OS
    - OEM
    - Laptop about 2 years 2 months old
    - Did not reinstall OS. (System Restore a few times in the past)

    Welcome to SF, siaox.

    First please do the following:

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS

In the line at the top of www.SevenForums.com you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
    Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
    Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.

    Next, please do this:

Failed twice on dragonica, but indicated it was a type 1 hardware error.

Check your network and audio drivers for update.

    Diagnostics:

    Run hard drive test

Yesterday, i updated my audio/wireless adapter drivers but there's still BSOD.

As for dragonica (game), what do u mean by "type 1 hardware error"? (Reinstallation of game might help? because i have been playing that game for months and it doesnt BSOD until recently)

Also, when i clicked on those links, how come im directed to sevenforum mainpage instead?

    Thanks

    Hi Lemur,

Due to my lack of blank disc/floppy to carry out Memtest or HD Diagnostic, thus i did not perform those 2 actions.

However, i downgraded my MSN Messenger today (Uninstalled Windows essential 2011, and installed the previous version instead), it seems that the BSOD problem has vanished by it own. It's already been around 12h+ and no sign of BSOD. I will continue to observe today, overnight.

    Thanks

Well, that will work too! :)
Glad you have no more BSODs.
