1.Recurring Blue Screens. 2. System hangs alot while browsing
Hi, This is a new build I put together a little over a month ago. The system runs great except for the numerous times I get BSODs for no good reason and web browsing (IE and Firefox) halts the system to the point that the Task Manager won't even work.
Here are my components:
OS: Windows Professional 64 bit
Case: Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 RC-1000
PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R, latest bios FB18
CPU: Intel Core i7-980X
GPU: Quadro 5000
BD/CD/DVD: LITE-ON iHBS112
RAM: Kingston HyperX 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 (recommended by MOBO manufacturer)
Hardrives: (2) Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM set as RAID 0. This is for the OS and Software
(2) SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 set as RAID 1. This is for work Files and Projects.
Peripherals:
Tablet: Wacom Intuous GD-0608-U
Monitor: Dell U2410
Webcam: Philips SPC900NC
Printer: Epson R280
Also, I haven't done any overclocking.
I use this system for work (FX and Motion Graphics)
I don't have any clues as to why I'm getting the BSODs. The only thing I can think of is that the GPU, Quadro 5000 is pretty new to the market, and the drivers are not developed well. However I see other people with different GPUs getting the same problem in the forums. Maybe it's the MOBO, and should change the voltage settings (read in the forums), but I don't know how to change the voltage or how to change it to the right amount.
For the web browsing I would like to say it's Flash related, maybe it's not optimized for 64bit. It seems that everytime I have problems with the browsers, it's because I'm at a site that has Flash content. But then again, I was on Craigslist the other night and it happened again. For some reason when the crashes are browser related, the Task Manager is pretty much useless as it never comes on. That was never the problem with XP, I wish that was addressed in a patch.
I appreciate the forum's help on this.
