| Windows 7: bluescreens/stack dumps/memory errors/bad image errors |

bluescreens/stack dumps/memory errors/bad image errors Hello,
I've had nothing but great luck with Windows 7 and my current computer for almost a year.
A couple weeks ago, however, I started getting intermittent, and seemingly random stop screens. There seems to be no pattern to the blue screens; sometimes I'll be gaming or sometimes the computer will be idle when it happens.
In addition to the stop screens, in some applications I have also had errors pop up in programs involving the term 'bad image' and the dbghelp.dll file. I replaced the dbghelp.dll file using the method described here: Debug Help Library (Windows)
Following those instructions and installing the software advised did nothing to fix the problem.
I've also noted that the user interface freezes briefly every so often, and then begins to work again. This happens in various programs like Adobe Photoshop and my amazon s3 browser, but also just on the windows desktop.
Randomly, also, various programs stop working and close.
Here is a link to the dump file info (both large and mini dump files), and a screen shot of the 'bad image' error (sorry for the file size): https://s3.amazonaws.com/only-PC_onl...oubleshoot.rar
I wouldn't consider myself a 'power user' and I don't over clock or do any other enthusiast activities. Other things I've done to try and resolve this problem: - I have removed all items from the startup in msconfig.
- I've removed any and all unnecessary applications.
- I've scanned for viruses using Malware Bytes, AVAST and Microsoft Security Essentials. No viruses have been found.
- I've checked to make sure my computer isn't overheating in any way; it isn't.
My computer is set up as follows: - Windows 7 Professional 64bit with ALL latest windows updates
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
- GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
- EVGA GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0
- 4gigs of high performance DDR2 memory, not sure what kind.
- System drive is two 250gig drives in stripe RAID using the motherboard's onboard RAID
Just trying to be as specific as possible.
If you need any further information, let me know and I will provide it.
I'm lost on this. I just want to get back to work... PLEASE HELP
-

Also, beyond the most recent dump, just to be thorough although most of this is in my initial post:
Windows 7 64bit Professional OEM edition (OEM System Builder copy ordered from newegg)
Only OS to ever be installed on system; was a clean install with full format.
No hardware in the system older than 1/4/2010.
OS has been installed since that date, I believe; perhaps shortly after. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Graphics Card EVGA 01G-P3-1155-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-e PSU COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-850-EMBAD1-US 850W Case Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Cooling OCZ gianormous cpu can, 200mm top fan, 5 other case fans Hard Drives All seagate, various sizes. I'm reaching the point of desperation. I've googled, binged fought to try and figure this out. I'm still at a loss. I haven't changed anything with this system. I don't know what is causing this. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Graphics Card EVGA 01G-P3-1155-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-e PSU COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-850-EMBAD1-US 850W Case Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Cooling OCZ gianormous cpu can, 200mm top fan, 5 other case fans Hard Drives All seagate, various sizes. OK. I jsut got a different stop error than before. This time it's
DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE 0x0000009F
I'm gonna memcheck my RAM, and I'll check out my drivers I guess (not sure how to narrow it down at this point).
But... I'm not sure what to do if it's Kernal related. Is the answer to that just to reload windows? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Graphics Card EVGA 01G-P3-1155-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-e PSU COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-850-EMBAD1-US 850W Case Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Cooling OCZ gianormous cpu can, 200mm top fan, 5 other case fans Hard Drives All seagate, various sizes. You had 2 reports one was 9F
That one said that it was a driver
The other said driver or memory
Dont worry its not a kernal driver. It is a subordinated driver that makes the kernal go nuts. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |
