    System freezes and restarts when I use 3D applications

    Hi all.

    Most of time, my computer runs perfectly. When I run any game (tried with 3 different games) the system freezes and restarts after 5-10 minutes of play. When I run the evaluation to get my performance index, I got the same behavior before the end of the test.

    What information do I have to post here so someone could eventually help me?

    Thank you a lot for any help!

    I got the latest, downloaded from nvidia site.

    Here's the name of the file I got there: 260.99_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql

    It has installed good. The problem persists.

    Thanks.

    Hi. This may be a clue. There's an up-date in Windows Update that can't be installed. Here's what I got:

    Before trying
    Attachment 117610

    After I tried to install it.
    Attachment 117609

    Could be that, right??

    Hi again.

    I just found out why this update couldn't be installed. That's because it's suppose to do the same thing nVidia's 260.99 does. They can't coexist in the same system.

    When I uninstalled nVidia's 260.99, I was able to install the update suggested by Windows Update.

    BUT...

    ...the problem persists, just like before. I'm unable the establish my performance index (system shuts down before the end of tests) or play games (5 min max).

    Please, help me!

    Perform system file checker:
    Right click Command Prompt -> run as admin -> sfc /scannow

    If the problem persist, follow this instructions to collect data although you dont have BSOD issue.
    Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

    It seems you have hardware issue so follow this troubleshooting strategy:
    Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

    Do you have another graphic card? Try to pull out your current graphic card and test it with another one.

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    Oh, no

    I'll try to get another GC. I'm just afraid I buy one and get the same error... Is there a way to know it for sure? My mother board has no video out, so I can't test the computer without my GC.
