    Mega Manager uninstall

I downloaded Mega Manager onto my computer. Today I decided that I did not want it. I uninstalled it. Then I restarted my computer like it told me to. after I did I was unable to use the internet. I checked everything. It was all doing good. I used the diagnose problem it found nothing. It also said I was connected to my ISP. And that My connection was fine. The only thing was I was unable to use any internet program. My Modem to my internet would not get a steady light where it says PC. It would keep flashing. I know that it is supposed to be steady. SO I did a system restore and now it is working again. Any Idea of what might have caused the problem. I think that mega manager changed some kind of network connection or something to do with my internet settings. I would like to fix the problem please. I want to get rid of mega manager. But I had to do a system restore to where I downloaded it the night before. So it is back on my PC now.

Mega Manager? I suspect that it set up some kind of hook to intercept certain actions of the tcp/ip protocol
and doesn't properly remove that hook when uninstalled thus corrupting the LSP (Layered Service Provider)
    Try this:
    Uninstall Mega Manager
Open an Admin command prompt (type cmd in search dialogue, right click it, "Run as admin"
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset

That should usually do it (It's effectively the same what we used to do under 98 and XP: remove the TCP stack and reinstalling it.

    Try that and report back
