Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

when i set the attributes to nodefaultdriveletter it marked my partitions as inactive.....all i had to do was take my HDD out of my case put it into another case start cmd and mark them as active....then put it back into my case with the windows 7 disk and repair the bootmgr.....if the computer that i was using wouldve had windows 7 i wouldnt have had to worry about the repair disk because i couldve assigned C: to that drive and it wouldve booted right then.....thanks for the help and the leads guys and gals if any
