New build turns on and off.
I just bought a barebones computer built it and installed windows 7 ultimate and it is possessed by the pc devil.
My computer started out great but now just a day later it started to shut off. Not a BSOD but it was like someone hit the restart button. Would say windows is shutting down ten it would come back on. Sometimes it would be fine after that for a while other times it would restart real quick. Like it would power up the fans then back off over and over. Still does this. Now it will be sitting there and all the sudden it starts booting up without even touching it. Sometimes it starts out saying it's trying to repair the start up.
I have tried a different psu tried without the USB network adapter and also without the DVD drive. Reset the CMOS, turned off all the power saving crap also. Like I said everything is brand new except the case.
System is. Windows 7 ultimate x64, amd phenom 9750 quad, ecs a740gm-m motherboard, memory is ddr2 800 2 gb, and a 450 watt tax psu
Anyone have any ideas to try?
