BSOD w/ WINXP with USB & McAfee

I am on a Windows XP SP3 laptop. Mcafee installed it's updates last week and now I can put in my USB memory stick just fine, when I pull it out that is when I receive the BSOD. I have updated all drivers. I then plugged in a USB mouse, unplugged it and NO BSOD. tried other USB with the memory stick and the issue still happens.
What am I to do? Suggestions?

Thank you
