    BSOD when logging in

    Hi there,

I am helping a friend with his laptop and was looking for some advice please.

The computer is booting up fine, but when we try and log him in it crashes and reboots.
I have tried restarting it in safe mode, and have devirused it, but still cannot log on.

The BSOD is only around for half a sec before it disappears, so I cannot read it fully.

Do you think it is a hardware issue? I didn't think it was, as would it not boot up at all if it was hardware? I thought that maybe it was to do with the log on files to do with his account, but unfortunately it is the only account available. Is there a way to enable the administrators account from outside the OS?

    Thanks and all replies welcome!

Can you do a repair on it ?? With only one account, that's probably your only option.
