    BOSD again...

Hi guys, I have a problem with my HP laptop with windows 7 home premium. Just after I bought it, many bsod appears three or more times per day until I called HP support and they got the pc and change the network card and two usb ports that appears to be the problem, but after a week with the laptop then the bsod still appears every two or three days, but one per day or so, I mean now are less often.

I made the memory tests with memtest and was ok after more than 4 hours, even disk tests passed and I used Passmark software for more than 15 minutes without any error. Also I can spend more than 45 minutes playing need for speed undercover and nothing happens, so I don't know what is the real problem. The most common error but not the only one is 0x0000001a and the driver involved, ntoskrnl.exe.

The laptop have all the last drivers and bios available. Now I need a new error to happen and I will upload the dump files, but if any of you have a suggestion about the cause, will be really appreciated.

    Thank you.

Which memory test and for how long? should be memtestx86

We do need the DMP files

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    * Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Hi, these are the latest two errors 0x000000A and as usual the involved driver is ntoskrnl.exe. The errors happens randomly and the programs that are most of the time open are chrome and acrobat, for example, but when I play a game as need for speed nothing happens. Also, I have an old post before HP repaired the network card and two usb ports and they installed again the original software to the laptop. This is the link for that post with a zip file with older minidumps: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...-pavilion.html.

    Thank you

Please read this thread, follow the instructions and post back. The additional information will help us to help you better.

One dump blames memory corruption and the other blames a Windows system core file, which is very unlikely to be the real cause.

You have a lot of out of date drivers on your system; the ones in red font are quite obsolete. Update these drivers beginning with the oldest from the links provided. Older drives can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. You possibly have other out of date drivers; but we cannot tell until we have the files generated by following the tutorial above.

Check the .dmp files in C:\Windows\Minidump. If you have any attach them as it'll give us a little more info. Also check that the small memory dump is set this way:

Set Windows 7 to Perform a Small Memory Dump After a BSOD — MAXIMUMpcguides – Windows 7 tips, tricks, help, and how-to guides

As Carl has spotted you have too many old drivers incompatible with Windows 7:

Adaptec SAS/SATA-II RAID Windows Inbox Miniport 2007
Adaptec StorPort Ultra320 SCSI Driver 2007
    Broadcom NetXtreme II VBD 2009
Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet - NDIS 6.0 2009
    Brother USB Mass-Storage 2006
    Emulex LightPulse 2009
    Hewlett-Packard Quick Launch Buttons 2009
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 5000 Series Adapter 2009
    Nokia PCCS Mode 2008
    QLogic 2009
    Realtek 8167 NT Driver 2009
    VIA RAID driver 2009
    Marvell Yukon 2009

If your notebook is not officially compatible with Windows 7, then unfortunately it may be impossible for you to find the updates.

Hi, I uploaded the minidump files I had, please see it up. My laptop comes with windows 7 home premium from factory, the model is dv6 2060ea (bought on may 2010). I don`t understand how I have this older drivers in windows 7, I will try to find the updates, and the latest factory reset was on October made by HP Support people.

Please can you also check the second zip file I uploaded as requested?

    Thank you.

Thanks for uploading the additional files.

I found one more driver that you need to update. I suspected it was out of date; but I confirmed it from the files you uploaded.

Rt64win7.sys 02/10/2009 - Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 Network Driver Interface Specification 6.20 64-bit Driver. Latest PCIe GBE (GigaBit Ethernet) drivers here: Realtek.
