BSOD 7a Crashing during gaming

Hi I've had this problem awhile and have searched these forums many times to try and find a solution There have been others with the same problem but none of the fixes have worked for me.

I purchased the Radeon 5870 about a year ago and it has always given me problems during gaming. I have run every test i can to try and figure out what the problem is. I have RMA'd one card and this new one ive had for about 4 months and is still giving me problems.

While running any games, ATM im playing League of Legends, after about 10-15mins i get BSOD auto shutdown which comes back with the code 7f,0,0,0.

Many people with this same issue has been fixed due to out of date drivers. If someone could take a look at my dumps and let me know if theres anything i can do it would be much appreciated

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

The dmp(s) point to ntkrpamp.exe or ntoskrnl.exe as the probable cause. We know this is not the case, as these are core OS files, and will definitely not cause a BSOD. They are just the default files the debuggers blame when they can't see a better cause. We need to run driver verifier to pinpoint the faulting driver...

- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.

Thanks on the quick reply have setup driver verifier and have rebooted going to play the game for awhile and see what happens. Will upload the dmp files when it occurs

Ok had another Crash same code, dump file attached.

And another. I have no idea what causes these crashes,i just know they tend to occur when im playing games. However had a few BSOD yesterday just from watching bbc iplayer. Are these dumps the same as the one posted before or any changes?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

My motherboard is relatively old now, due to this i think the nForce network drivers are as up to date as they can be. I have searched for newer ones but cant find any on the Nvidia site.

I have uninstalled deamon tools and SPTD using the software that yowanvista providided above so that should be removed now.

I have never touched the Clock settings on my CPU or RAM so they should still be defaults.

*edit and another minutes after. Im starting to think its more a hardware problem than any drivers, or maybe just descrepencies between very old motherboard and newer windows 7 drivers?

Since starting this thread the crashes have actually become more frequent. I have posted another dump file, if anyone can tell me whats causing these id very much appreciate it
