ATI HD4770 getting blue screen of death after installing the driver

I have been searching for a solution for a while now and everywhere but I still could not find one even inside Windows 7 forums. Please help me with this.
A couple of months ago, I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 64 bit, but after installing the driver for my HD4770 and after the required restart of computer, the OS will go on the splash screen where you could see the small balls to form a windows logo. After that it should go to the blue page with "welcome" but all i see is 1/3 of the screen is that "welcome" page with some short white lines, while the other 2/3 is just black and the computer hangs up. I rolled back the driver under device manager to get it back to 'standard vga graphics adapter' and then downloaded a new driver from ATI (Catalyst 10.10) but I still get the same thing so I went back to Windows XP.

Recently, I found out that Catalyst 10.11 is already available so I installed Windows 7 64-bit again. I upgraded the BIOS of my motherboard, downloaded updates for Windows 7 first, then installed the driver for my HD4770. After the Windows 7 splash screen, I get a 'blue screen of death'. I rolled back the driver again and installed the driver using Windows update. At first, I was able to load Windows 7 until I see the desktop; however, there are some short white lines scattered all over and once I move my mouse, the computer hangs up.

    I have Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

Could you please upload the dump files?
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

Please finish filling your system specs.

Also, NEVER use Windows Update or the Update Driver Function in Device Manager to update drivers. Only USE the manufacture's site.

Try reinstalling the driver with the use of Driver Sweeper. Try a different driver too. Check temperatures. Set all hardware clocks optimized defaults as recommended by the manufacturer. If no luck your card most likely bit the dust.

Thank you for the support. I've done all that are in the instructions but at first restart, I got a hang. I think it's because I cleaned the driver and installed the driver first before setting the bios "plug and play OS" to yes. I used driver sweeper again and installed the driver. On the second installation, I got a blue screen. Uploaded the BSOD files again. I also don't know if my graphics card is busted because it is working fine with Windows XP. I appreciate your help very much.

    116 & 124 - I'd check the power supply first of all.

The above certainly witnesses a hardware failure, I would check them in this order starting with the power supply:

    1. PSU
    2. RAM
    3. CPU
    4. Motherboard
    5. Of course bios settings should be right as recommended by the manufacturer.
