Windows 7: Recent BSODs

Recent BSODs - Ongoing

Hello everyone,
I'm getting recent BSODs , and I'd like to resolve this issue.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, upgraded from Vista.
I got a BSOD from Bad Company 2's singleplayer, 2 from its multiplayer and today one from Assassin's Creed 2.
After Bad Company 2's BSODs I upgraded my AMD drivers, but that hasn't fixed the issue.
What could be the issue, and how can it be fixed? Thank you very, very much for your time

Welcome to SF.

Quote:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
Update your network driver:
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\rt64win7.sys (7.2.1125.2008, 183.00 KB (187,392 bytes), 1/03/2009 11:05 PM)

sptd.sys

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done:

I've uninstalled Daemon Tools, and have run the SPTD uninstaller.

Finding an update to that driver was difficult, and it seems that it has some very common issues, including Windows Update installing a buggy version of it.

I downloaded the driver from here: Realtek
Under the "Windows 7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1432824)" row. Only download site 3 worked.

Hopefully my issue is resolved, thanks for your time.

Bad news: I got another BSOD while playing Bad Company 2. I've attached the new dump file.

The BSOD looked different from the rest, so hopefully there's something I can do.
Thank you for your time.

Now that you hve updated drivers and removed DT and it's still crashing, remove Symantec with the use of this tool:

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support
