All games freezes with 117 VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED [Dump included]

    Greetings

so i have been getting alot of 0x00000117 : VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED.

    Problem
while gaming, screen freezes, sometimes I get stuck and i have to force restart

sometimes i am able to ctrl-alt-del and kill the process from task manager.

    I do not get BSOD.

    Frequency of problem
While playing almost any game, timing seems to be random (sometimes 5 mins sometimes 40 mins sometimes 1 hour).

Using windows and other non-game applications the problem does not occur at all, windows never crashed by its own.

I have researched and researched the net for many days now, i learned alot, sadly still unable to solve the problem

    Things tried
    - Trying dell drivers, AMD / ATI drivers, ... etc does not seem to solve the problem. I am fully updated in-terms of drivers (and BIOS, VBIOS)
    - When trying different drivers, I uninstall > safe mode > driver sweep > normal mode > install new drivers
    - Playing more than one game to confirm that its not game related. Games crashed / froze (Civilization V, Crysis Warhead, Two Worlds II, Oblivion). played some games that did not crash (NFS, Fallout) but i have not extensively played them, probably in 30 minutes intervals.
    - Ran Dell Diagnostic tool to scan memory errors, nothing found
    - Ran sfc / scannow, nothing faulty was found
    - I tried factory settings image and just install the necessary drivers and directX, still same thing, I am sure am updated interms of drivers, and havent installed any beta things.

    Solution?
Is there anything i can try to fix this problem?

should i call it a day and say i have bad cards and ask for replacement?

I have uploaded my Watchdog files, they are only three, .. i had dozens of them before reinstalling stock image

dump files in watchdog are created even if no BSOD happened, if any applications just crashed or froze Watchdog is there to write about it in a dump file

    P.S. i have Windows 7 Home

    Alienware M17x-R2 Space Black
    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 820QM Quad Core Processor
    Video Card: CrossfireX™ 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5870
    LCD Panel: 17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 RGB LED (1200p)
    Memory: 8GB Dual Channel Memory (2x 4GB DDR3)
    Hard Drive: 1TB Raid 0 (2x 500GB 7,200RPM HDDs)

any help would be appreciated, thank you

Your graphic card may be defective, replace it
Use Memtest86 to test your RAM RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Code:
    BugCheck 117, {fffffa800ecc54e0, fffff880073a4dcc, 0, 0}

Unable to load image atikmpag.sys, Win32 error 0n2

    Thank you

May i ask what program you used to analyse the dump files?

    I already requested for a replacement :)

ran memtest for a few runs, it came out clean.

If the card is defective, i thought it shouldn't run games at all, didnt think that it runs for a while and then crashes, as i said it runs games for minutes but then freeze/crash

I will wait for the replacement and report back if the issue is resolved, the replacement will reach in 2 weeks (parts has to be imported from another country :/)

    thank you

I used WinDBG, a component of Windows Debugging Tools

    Thanx!

I got a tech calling me today telling me that the parts arrived (weird since they told me it will take 2 weeks before)

anyways, the tech replaced the master GPU card, and all is good now :)

just finished crysis warhead with zero crashes, 4 hours play continuously.

    thanx for the help!

    cheers
