    BSOD...random


    okay, i just got a new 750GB Western Digital Black HD and i did a clean install and everything was working great, fast boot, everything until about 5 minutes ago


    i just got back from Frys and purchased battlefield Bad Company 2

    as soon as i went to install after loading the DVD i got a BSOD "Bad_pool"

    heres my dump and my specs are under my sig


    if anyone can help id be much appreciated

    Pool Corruption (memory) caused by an as yet unknown driver. Test the memory with memtest.

    Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.


    Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
